Akazienzendo is a place to meditate and gather.
Zazen is a silent, open meditation in the middle of our experience. In this process we increasingly come into harmony with ourselves, others, and our surroundings.
Akazienzendo offers a contemporary, urban approach to Zen practice, without neglecting the depth and insight of traditional Buddhist spirituality.

Akazienzendo closed until 7 April
The board of the Akazienzendo has decided to keep the zendo closed until 7th April.
This was not an easy step to take, but we believe it is a necessary measure to ensure the welfare and health of our community and to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus. Of course, it is precisely in such difficult and uncertain moments that we turn even more to the practice of Zen, and so we are looking into ways we can continue practicing together in the coming weeks.
One possibility is our online zendo, which is active each
Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 7:30 to 8:00pm,
Right now we only have a German description about how to participate in the online zendo; however, it is very easy: the program we use is Zoom; simply click on this link » and follow the instructions. If you should have problems signing in, please check out this video ».
Updates about more opportunities to practice together online will be available on the website shortly.
We thank you for your understanding, patience, and practice in these challenging times.
